Do not upgrade just because you have a team name
If only one person actually schedules posts, reviews data and sends reports, Starter can remain the cheaper plan even if you operate as an agency. The upgrade only pays for itself when collaboration or automation is real.
Upgrade for approvals before you upgrade for brand count
A small agency with three clients can still need Advanced if every post requires external approval. Conversely, a solo consultant with eight brands may be fine on Starter 10.
Advanced becomes more valuable when data leaves Metricool
Looker Studio and API access matter when your reporting stack or automation depends on Metricool data. If you already use Make, Zapier, custom dashboards or client data pipelines, Advanced is not just a collaboration plan.
When Custom enters the picture
Neither Starter nor Advanced gives you full White Label. If clients need a fully rebranded product experience, move the comparison from Starter vs Advanced to Advanced vs Custom.
